Color Theater - Gold

Curator Statement
Gold has always been a symbol of luxury, power, and transcendence. In this exhibition, we explore its many facets—not only as a precious metal but as a medium that transforms artistic boundaries.
As a sculptural artist, my practice is rooted in the interplay of form and surface. Curating this exhibition has been an enriching experience, allowing me to connect with artists who work in different mediums but share a fascination with gold. Each artist in this show brings a unique perspective to the theme, whether it’s through painting, sculpting, or mixed media, highlighting the versatility and depth of gold as an artistic element.
Being the curator of this show, among these talented artists, I found joy in discovering how each of us interprets gold in our work. My own pieces explore gold's tactile qualities, inviting viewers to engage with the material in a physical and sensory way. In contrast, the other works in the exhibition offer a diverse range of experiences, from the visual to the conceptual, all unified by the luminous presence of gold.
I invite you to immerse yourself in this golden world, where each piece offers a different narrative, yet all are connected by the shared language of gold.

With a background in performance and production, she seeks to bring joy as a catalyst through all of her art.
Her journey began out of a desire to create art for herself and she fell in love with the process of producing dynamic and uplifting textured works. Eve aims to bring people right into the present moment with curiosity and wonder. Consumed by the process of becoming, her art is driven by exploration and growth.

Focusing on neutral tones, this exhibit delves into their role as a canvas for balance, subtlety, and harmony. Neutrals, central to minimalism, strip away excess to reveal the essence of form and space. Through diverse artistic interpretations, the show uncovers how these colors evoke calmness and depth, inviting viewers to engage with their understated complexities. Each subsequent exhibit in the series will continue to explore the unique significance of different colors in art.
Karlsson has exhibited at Spectrum/Red Dot Art Fair during Miami Art Week, Maison Pelican in St. Barths, and her Manhattan studio. Her work draws inspiration from the human form, food, and minimalist patterns, using monochromatic colors to create aesthetically pleasing, playful yet modest designs.

As an abstract artist, I embrace the freedom of expression and experimentation. My work reflects my inner world, as I explore the depths of emotions, thoughts, and experiences through vibrant colors, bold brushstrokes, and a variety of textures. I aim for each piece of art to be a visual journey, inviting viewers to interpret and connect with their own personal stories.
In both my art and my yoga practice, I like to emphasizes the importance of embracing imperfections and finding beauty in the unconventional. I believe that true grace and fluidity stem from embracing the unpredictable nature of life and art, allowing for growth, transformation, and self-discovery.
I hope my art inspires the viewer to explore their own possibilities of expression, passion and individuality as it has done for me. I am grateful and honored to share what I create with others.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.

Michael Wolf is an NYC area artist whose work encompasses sculpture, installation, and drawing. Inspired by architectural forms, he uses them as a metaphor for the human experience. The desire for shelter physically and psychologically permeates his work. Wolf uses wood, stone, metal, and gold leaf to create contemporary art with an ongoing dialogue with history.
Wolf's large installations have been exhibited at the Orlando Museum of Art, the Future of Cities Climate and Innovation Hub, during Miami Art Week, the Center for Contemporary Art, The College of St. Elizabeth, and 1165 6th Avenue, NYC. He worked with the New York City Parks Department to install a public sculpture on the Lower East Side’s Allen St. Mall for the summer of 2022.
In 2020 Wolf participated in an artist residency at Mana Contemporary sponsored by the Eileen S. Kaminsky Family Foundation. The drawings he completed during the residency led to a series of sculptures and a solo show at the Visual Arts Center of NJ. Wolf received individual fellowship grants from the NJ State Council of the Arts and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation. He received the Power of Art Award, personally presented by Robert Rauschenberg at the East Wing of the National Gallery.
Monica King Projects presented his work at Intersect Aspen and online at Intersect Chicago/SOFA. His sculpture Sanctum was highlighted in the penthouse at 100 Franklin in Tribeca. Other exhibitions include a solo show at the Sculptors Guild Gallery in Dumbo, Brooklyn, and I'm Your Venus at Bee in the Lion Gallery in Manhattan. Wolf's first international project was released in the spring of 2022. The organizers of The Bau Container of Contemporary Culture, based in Viareggio, Italy, invited Wolf to create a series of 120 prints to be included in the 18th edition of BAU Container. The container has been placed in the Palazzo Reale and the Museo del Novecento, both in Milan, Italy.

In 1994, the Protsouk family moved to the United States, where Andrei established himself as a renowned artist, celebrated for his mastery of European painting techniques. Dennis, in turn, became his father's apprentice and student, he absorbed the rich traditions of Spanish and Italian painting techniques from his father while cultivating his unique voice. As Dennis developed his style, his work diverged from his father's precise and controlled approach, favoring instead a more expressive interpretation that serves as a social commentary on contemporary life.
Dennis’s work explores modern themes through a dynamic lens, bridging the past with the present, and infusing classical techniques with fresh perspectives. Alongside his artistic endeavors, Dennis is also an accomplished art entrepreneur. He manages Andrei Art Gallery and Studio in Stroudsburg, PA, where he represents his father's works and many other contemporary artists while also promoting his own and exhibiting in various art fairs. A graduate of the Fox School of Business at Temple University with a B.A. in International Business and Marketing, Dennis blends his creative passions with his professional skills, continuously pushing boundaries both in the studio and the gallery space.
